Donovan Palmquist

DPIn regards to the MN Pottery Festival, Donovan Palmquist may be considered a rookie; but when it comes to stoneware, he is an expert. Donovan has a MFA in ceramics and over 30 years of experience in making pots. He has also served on the Board of Directors at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis and has taught at both the Northern Clay Center and Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Currently, Donovan is the owner of Master Kiln Builders and makes pots part time. He and his wife, Colleen Riley, own Eureka Pots.

Donovan’s primary interest is high-fire functional work with a focus on thrown and altered vessels in atmospheric (soda/salt and wood) firings.
